The four types of care covered by Part A are home health care, hospice care, inpatient care in a skilled nursing facility and inpatient hospital care. For hospice services Medicare pays for the costs of such services as social worker services, medical supplies, nurses, physical therapy, doctors, counseling, pain control drugs and medical equipment.
