This internet web page explains CA Medicare Part A quotes. Medicare Part A is usually referred to as hospital insurance. It basically covers four different types of health care costs. The four types of care covered by Part A are home health care, hospice care, inpatient care in a skilled nursing facility and inpatient hospital care. Part A also covers the cost of blood received at a skilled nursing facility or hospital during a covered stay. Each of these benefit types are subject to their own benefit periods and deductibles. For hospitalization Medicare will pay for the costs of semiprivate rooms, supplies, general nursing and meals. Part A doesn't however pay for telephones, private rooms (unless medically necessary), private duty nurses and televisions. In skilled nursing facilities Medicare pays for such costs as speech-language pathology services, skilled nursing services, rehabilitative care and a semiprivate room. With home health care Medicare will pay for such things as part-time or intermittent skilled nursing services, durable medical equipment, medical social services, part-time or intermittent home health aid services and physical and occupational services. For hospice services Medicare pays for the costs of such services as social worker services, medical supplies, nurses, physical therapy, doctors, counseling, pain control drugs and medical equipment.
