This page explains California Medicare Supplement advice. A Medicare Supplemental is an insurance policy purchased from an insurer that pays for many of the expenses not covered by Medicare. In 1992 the federal government standardized Medicare Supplemental insurance plans. Most states adopted these standard plans and these are the only Medicare Supplemental policies insurers may sell. There are ten standard Medicare Supplemental plans. The plans have the designations A through J. Each of the standard plans offer the same basic benefits.
