Paying the Medicare Part A co-payments for the 21st to the 100th day of care in a skilled nursing facility. Paying 80% of the billed charges for emergency treatment, physician services and other medical services received in a foreign country that is medically necessary. This foreign care must begin within 60 days of leaving the U.S. This benefit has a $250 deductible and is subject to a $50,000 lifetime maximum benefit. This treatment has to be a type of treatment that would be covered by Medicare had the care been received in the United States. Covering 100% of the Medicare Part B excess charges. It is also possible for extra benefits to be offered in Medicare Supplement policies, but these additional benefits must be approved by the state insurance commissioner.
