The care must begin within 60 days of leaving the U.S. This benefit has a $250 deductible and is subject to a $50,000 lifetime maximum benefit. This care has to be a type of care that would be covered by Medicare if the care been received in the U.S. Pays for several preventive care services that are not covered by Medicare. There is an annual limit on this benefit. It is possible for additional benefits to be offered in Medicare Supplemental policies, but these extra benefits must be approved by the state insurance commissioner.
