Covering the Part A hospital expenses after all Part A hospital benefits have been used up.

Covering the cost of the first three pints of blood under both Part A and Part B.

Covering the Part B co-payments for Medicare approved charges.

Covering the Medicare Part A deductible per benefit period.

Covering the Medicare Part A co-payments for the 21st to the 100th day of care in a skilled nursing facility.

Paying 80% of the billed charges for emergency treatment, physician services and other medical services received in a foreign country that is medically necessary. The care must begin within 60 days of leaving the U.S. This benefit has a $250 deductible and is subject to a $50,000 lifetime maximum benefit. The treatment has to be a type of care that would be covered by Medicare had the care been received in the United States.

Paying the Medicare Part B deductible.

Paying 100% of the Medicare Part B excess charges.
